Into The Grey

The hardest part of introducing spirituality into your life is the process of getting yourself into a state of perfected balance. Knowing what to let go of and what to keep. An inner sorting much like spring cleanup but within your very own temple. The release of past lives and versions that no longer align with your highest timeline. People, places, things that no longer work in your best interest but rather introduce confusion and chaos. Self induced tower moments, to create the break needed to grow and evolve from what no longer serves you. Breathing techniques, meditation practices, a gentle beginning to ease into a state of relaxation and a calm so thick you'd need a wrecking ball to smash through the foundation of it. Blah..blah..blah. Well how do I achieve this you might ask. I have found the best way to begin is on your back. Legs straight out in front of you and arms resting comfortably. Some say one arm across the abdomen and one across the eyes also seems to help when starting a meditative state. I do things interchangeably. Sometimes eyes open to start works well, other times closed. The arm over the eyes helps keep eyes closed so there's less chance of disruption. You can start by turning the light off, closing eyes, getting into a comfortable position, than counting numbers or mastering breath. Eyes wide shut theory. Pay attention to what goes on behind closed lids. Shapes, patterns, colors, movement. At the beginning intrusive thoughts may try to enter. You might start thinking about your home, relationships, bills or everyday stresses. The idea is to swat them away each time so that your mind can come to a silent state where it's open to God, your higher self, guardians or your own inner voice. Another way I've found to be beneficial for me was to just sit on my bed and allow myself to space out a bit. Finding a focal point within my bedroom and spending time focusing for several minutes eventually the focus led to a state of serenity where I was able to block out anything outside of me bothering me. Outside noises, dogs barking, all from outside not from within. Putting all the attention on self, how I'm feeling, why I'm feeling that, is it beneficial or harmful? The idea is to get to a state that no matter where your at, where your sitting, who your with or what the exterior appears like you are perfectly comfortable from within. Much like adapting to situations or places. Being moved from one habitat to another mentality and keeping your emotions in harmony. Not a loss of emotion but a deepend understanding that only You can control how you feel and what you absorb or release. To be able to be at ease without worldly devils like drugs or booze. Meditation and prayer can be practiced anywhere. Doesn't have to be inside a home or church. Sitting silently by a river, under a tree, outside within the light of the sun works just as well. Granted churches sometimes help fill social needs we need as humans however sometimes it's the things we do in silence when we are alone that make the real difference. No one's created the same so what works for one may not work for another. Spotify as well as YouTube any many other music platforms offer different sound waves, music and for those who rather it nature sounds. I prefer frequencies and white noise in the background or silence. I use to think I needed some noise in my life to be comfortable. Whether it was the television or the radio, even my own self speaking aloud but I have discovered they are all outside distractions and the work that needed to be done in my life, silence served me better. In closing the idea is to be able to sit within any environment and still be able to find inner peace and harmony.

Awakening after Introspection

It feels like a fall. starting slowly, than fluttering through darkness solitary. A tower moment where the decent feels like destruction prior to the leveling of the knowledge you gained from those around you for a lifetime. The shunning of familiar guidance and a leap into the unknown where you break free from the shackles and chains and emerge anew waiting to refill, reborn in strength forged through the burning of oneself own attachments to that which is old and painful. An earth shattering interruption to your own existence and the inner knowledge it was only you who could bring it all down around you in order for it to be restored and balanced. It's facing your own demons, those that are ever present since your first moments in the world to the very moment you confront them head on. Face to face. A breaking down of your own patterns and calling self out on its own bullshit. A time of isolation, introspection, extreme grief, and the collapse within that either destroys or forces you into strength you never knew you had before. A turn to God in moments of heartbreaking realizations and a inner breaking to allow him within. Emerging calm, mindful, Intune with self and the world that surrounds, a knowing of interconnectedness and how every stone tossed in the pond creates a ripple much bigger than self, the wisdom to understand which stones to cast and which to keep. It's being grown enough to know that some stones once casted can't be retrieved, wisdom in knowing the pond is much bigger than it seems from where you stand, and the ripples touch everything and everyone to an extent. A divine justice being called in and order being bellowed outloud trickling down to the surface and casted into rooms where those in authority sit idly by. An exchange of knowledge creating sleepy eyes to awaken to the truth and not the illusions. Dark nights are different for everyone, but it usually leads to a call to recognize one's own path and the choice whether to leap or stay behind. It leads to God, inner reflection, strength, a new way of seeing and understanding why the pain endured was necessary in order to keep moving along the path presented. Preparation for something that would break us without first the process of shattering and healing. Understanding that sometimes at first you have to fight alone as you watch those you love and know back away from you. It's so that God can be called upon being the only option available at the time, source, higher power, Heavenly Father. I incorporated tarot readers and cards and spirituality and a collective as a crutch,as a family throughout my process. Evolving with heightened intuition, warrior woman strength, and feeling empowered. No longer weak, small, hopeless. Sometimes a tragedy occurs within our lives which forces this upon us, sometimes we do it twice, dependent on where we are in our lives. The key isn't to emerge a monster, numb and cold to what lays outside of us, it's to heal in perfect light and be able to pull others up even when we felt abandoned and on our own. It's not giving up hope, and continuing to fight while others give in to despair and being the bridge for them to cross so they may stand where you are now and not where you once were. We do not burn the bridge leaving others behind to ache. We reach out to them illuminating the way forward and show them it's safe.
